Sketches and Cards

Zo af en toe maak ik een schets, kleine tekening, kaart of wat dan ook..
Natuurlijk wil ik ze jullie graag laten zien, maar ik denk altijd dat 1 zo'n tekening niet een heel blog waard is. Daarom nu een kleine collectie van waar ik zoal mee bezig ben.

De kwaliteit van de foto's is niet heel goed, sorry.

Deze maakte ik voor een klasgenoot, die een fantastisch verhaal verzon over een kabouter en zijn konijn. Ik kreeg gelijk beelden bij zijn verhaal en heb geprobeerd dit op papier te zetten. Dit is 1 van die beelden..

                                           Voor een vriendin..

 Een kaart die ik maakte voor een vrouw uit de USA, ze wilde een homemade kaart. Ze vertelde dat ze van breien hield en kaarten ontvangen.. :)

Tijdens mijn stage nam ik pastel krijt mee om met de kinderen hiermee iets te maken, maar uiteindelijk had ik tijdens de voorbereidingen meer plezier dan de kinderen hebben gehad geloof ik...

Making my own scarf

Scarfs...
In these cold winters you definitely need them.
Normaly in spring you don't. (The last 2 springs in Holland were like summer)
But this spring is different. It's COLD and rainy and sometimes feels like autumn.

This winter I knitted my own scarf. I used it very much, but in spring it does not give me the feeling that weather is going to be better soon.
So I looked around in all kind of shops for a nice 'spring' scarf.
In Belgium I found the perfect one. Unfortunately the perfectness did not fit the price...
Okey, maybe it sounds like I love scarfs and it's the only thing I talk about. But to pay more than €15,00 makes me feel I'm crazy.

So it took a while to find the perfect scarf, but I found one. I bought it and when I took a better look, I thought how easy it could be to make one myself.
So it tickled me immediately to go to the fabric shop.

I found this amazing fabric

It didn't cost me a long time to sew things together. (and it didn't cost me a lot of money as well)
Maybe it's because I was very exited and on these moments the perfectionist in me, is far away.
But I was very happy when I finished.
Now I got 2 'spring' scarfs :)
(I'm not sure that will be the the final amount of scarfs ;) )

Ellaphaunt

1,5 year ago I had a trouser which was too long, I should bring it to a tailor, but I didn't found the time, the will and I thought it was a pity too pay for it, if I could do it myself, when I should have a sewing machine..
So that's when I asked my boyfriend to give me a sewing machine for my birthday. I didn't wanted a luxe one, just a old second hand machine.

On my birthday I got my babyblue sewing machine and I was so happy!
So I made a couple of stuffed animals, cause I did that once with a friend. They did not turned out pretty but hey, it was fun.
When I understand the machine, I made my trouser shorther and that was it....

Until august. One of my friends got a baby girl. I wanted to give her a present that I made myself.
So I decided to make a ellephant.
It was so much fun, that I made another one and another one and another one....
That is how 'Ellaphaunt' was born.

Now, 50? Ellaphaunts later, I still make them and sell them.

On queensday I will stand on a market with my Ellaphaunts.

Today I made a yellow one :) (to bring the sunny feeling I haven't had in a long time, cause the weathers is so bad)

Pencil bag

Since I found out that my indian ink was leaking and my table turned out black, my pencils, my cutter, my lipbalm, my clothes....everything
I thought it would be a good idea to keep them apart.
I wanted to buy a penholder but could'nt find a nice one, so yesterday I decided to make one myself.

                 

I still don't know if this one is pretty and usable but I had fun sewing something different than a ellaphaunt. :)

 

Making stamps

So... I've read about it before, making your own stamps.

It looked so easy, so I bought a big eraser for only €0,26 a few months ago. (It has to be last year, cause I already got it in my previous house)

But.. I didn't found the courage and the right tools yet to make one myself.

Today I decided it was going to be the day..

Still I don't think it's the prettiest stamp I've ever seen, but it's the beginning. And I can tell you... I already feel addicted. I'm sad that I don't have a eraser left, but I do know what I'm going to do tomorrow!

Every crafter a blog

Everytime when I should be busy with school things, I'm looking around on the internet and see the most beautiful things.
A lot of people like me, who loving creating things and also get inspiration of beautiful pictures.
It gave me the feeling I also should start a blog.
Maybe only to not think about school things.

So, let's give it a try!
